Huge hair trend for a few months now : the volume.
Volume on the side for a more rock’n’roll hairstyle, volume on the back of the head for a glamorous style, or simply to fill your usual hairstyle a bit.
A few weeks ago, I got the new Calor hair appliance : Volum24.
Why Volum24 ?
Simply because this appliance promises you a 24h lasting volume.
I tried it and I even posted a picture of me right after waking up here on Instagram and a lot of you were surprised by my hairdo (I was surprised too).
This appliance’s principle is simple thanks to a roller you apply at the root of an hair lock. It creates lift at the root and thus volume. The appliance also releases ions that will stop static electricity and make your hair shine.
Its use is simple, at first I had to practice the gesture and then it became more natural.
The roller heats up to 338°F tops, just the right temperature for the hair to take the shape you want. No need to use a serum or a protective spray.
Before I give you a little demonstration with pictures, I’m sure you all want to try this appliance already ? I have good news for you since you can try and win one of the 20 Volum’24 Respectissim by Calor from October 6 to 24 over here.
1st step : to avoid the roller’s demarcation, make sure to lift up the first lock of hair, you’ll get a more natural look.
So start on the second lock.
2nd step : pluck the roller on the lock at the root, next to the skull, for 3 seconds. You won’t burn yourself because only the roller gets hot, the appliance doesn’t.
3rd step : make a 90° rotation towards the bottom of the lock. That’s an important step to create lift.
4th step : pull the whole lock to the opposite side of your head.
The gesture is simple : pluck the lock with the roller, a 90° rotation towards the bottom and hup, pull up the lock (on the opposite side).
Repeat the operation on the locks of the zone you want to be voluminous.
I shot you very expressive before/after pictures so that you can visualise it better. After I used Volum24, I curled the rest of my hair with my straightening iron as I usually do.
