CÚRVIE CREW

Today I’m presenting a sweater I just loved to wear in Paris last week-end.

I admit I’m not a fan of messages on shirts and sweaters, even if you already saw some of them on the blog (“Believe in your selfie”, Lost in a dream)

And there, putting “CURVIE” up on my chest, it was like crossing a new border. I’m having trouble explaining it clearly, this feeling of stating something even more powerfully than usual. You know me, I’m not into statements, that’s not my thing. That’s probably why I felt like I was crossing a border.

I saw the almost envious look of certain people, women that felt relieved reading my message, as if they were thinking “phew, it feels good to be able to say/read it”. I’m probably seeing too far into things and giving too much importance to what I saw this week-end, but I wanted to share this with you.

What about you, tell me, how would you feel if you passed by a girl who was wearing this sweater ? If it creates a particular reaction of course, or maybe none at all after all.

Thanks to Tanesha from the “Girls with curves” blog for this sweater, I really feel like I’m part of a crew now !

Have a good Monday girls !

STELLA & DOT

Today I want to talk to you about a jewelry brand I was told about last week : Stella & Dot

I was instantly taken with the concept, the pieces, and I’m sure you’ll love it too.

Stella & Dot was born in 2004 from the mind of an american woman who loves jewels. She wears a lot of them and her friends often asked her where they came from, tips, stuff like that. Stella & Dot was born this way, at first with pieces she created herself, then the adventure was on the rise.

Why do I like Stella & Dot ?

First, you gotta admit the jewels are gorgeous, right now there are several designers with different tastes and universes who are working on the collections, so everyone can find jewelry according to their taste.

And also the jewels are well thought for everybody, which really appealed to me. The necklaces always have several clasps for different neck sizes, same goes for the bracelets, they come with extensions you can choose to keep or not. No more worries for wide wrists. Same goes for the rings, they’re all extensible, and not using metal bits that go into your skin, no they’re tested before so they’re comfortable.

Some necklaces can be worn in different ways thanks to multiple rows, pieces you can clip on, different lengths from chain to choker. Like this “Casablanca” design for instance.

The jewels are also guaranteed nickel and lead-free, made by craftspeople and hand-made. Very high quality jewels, high end but at reasonable prices.

And did you see the packaging ? The boxes in which we received these little wonders are adorable, they’re pretty gift-wrapped parcels to get for yourself or simply to give to someone. With the holidays coming up, I think there are quite a few women in your circle you could spoil with these.

Another thing that touches me : Stella & Dot has signed an american charter against the work of children, forced labor, modern slavery, so you can be sure that your jewels have not been put together by a little girl in a sordid factory in India. And it matters, no need to remind you of the tragedies that are still taking place everyday in the factories that work for Zara or H&M for example.

Finally, one last thing (yes, it’s a long post, you will have realized that this topic really interests me), I opened a shop on Stella & Dot on which you’ll be able to find all of the brand’s jewels (right here). It’s not reserved to me because you can do it too, you can become a “stylist”, wear these jewels and talk about them to your circle, create your own network. It’s pretty easy, everything is explained on the website, you start with a base of jewels like my selection for example and bam, this adventure is now yours too. You can join my team by listing me as a sponsor for instance, “StephanieZwicky”.

I hope you’ll like these jewels as much as I do, you’ll often see them as accessories in my outfits.

Enjoy your visit !

BALSAMIK

Here’s a brand I think you’ll enjoy as much as I do, BALSAMIK.

You’ve probably seen once or twice their happy end off the wall TV commercials. I hadn’t had a chance to try this brand until they called me to offer me to pick out an outfit.

Their e-shop is bursting with different styles and their strength lays into their choices of statures, cup depth, hip width, all of this from (french)size 38 to 54 (and up, for some designs).

BALSAMIK has its own label that plays around with every morphology, but also with brands we are already familiar with like Taillissime, Celaia, Anne Weyburn, etc.

For my first outfit, I fell for a piece I’d been searching for a long time now, by dint of seeing it on my girlfriends, I was drooling on this short padded jacket ! It’s available up until size 60 and it’s THE piece to have in your closet. You can either wear it alone like today, or slip it under a jacket or a coat this winter. So light and thin, that it’ll slide right into your suitcase, your vacation or overnight bag. The feathers keep you super warm and with my sweater on that day, I was able to face this little freezing wind that rose in the middle of the day.

With this little black sweater (that I can absolutely see worn with the front in the back and vice versa) I chose this ikat style black and white skirt. The milano bands on the side make it a comfortable piece to wear.

I added a fancy touch to my outfit with a shiny Shourouk necklace, I love the contrast with the padded jacket.

As you will have realized, BALSAMIK is both trendy and comfortable thanks to very well-thought morphology tricks.

What about you, do you know BALSAMIK ?

5 DAYS IN MARRAKESH

mint tea at the Café des Epices

Let’s get back to my trip to Marrakesh, I’ve been telling you how I fell in love with this city. I’m now sharing with you a few pictures and my addresses.

I spent 5 days in Marrakesh, the purpose of this trip was for me to rest, recharge my batteries with sunshine, get away… and this trip totally fulfilled my expectations,200%.

The weather was particularly good, between 93.2°F and 95°F every day, I was able to enjoy the pool. The sun rays weren’t as strong as in the summer, my little boy was able to stay in the sun by the pool with good sunscreen and a hat on of course, but he wasn’t bothered by the heat.

I flew to Marrakesh from Paris CDG on a EasyJet flight, I had no problem. Lino had his own seat on the plane, which wasn’t full, whether it was on the outward on return trip. That’s the advantage of going on vacation out of school breaks.

CINDERELLA – STILETTOS TO WIN AT KLÉPIERRE’S

Give a girl the right shoes

and she can conquer the world.

Marilyn Monroe

You girls take a lot of shoes on this blog because, almost every week, you get a post about my passion : my Ladies, my shoes.

Today, I’m going to talk to you about a great operation which is taking place right now in various Klépierre centers. On the occasion of “La semaine des femmes en or” (“the week of golden women”), 15 pairs of shoes can be won every day.

Obsessional accessories, feelgood power, fetish pairs or real instruments of torture, shoes definitely fascinate. Each woman has a particular relationship with this accessory, they’re a true reflection of our daily feelings and desires.

This event is illustrated by the look of shoes’ designer Karine Arabian. The genius of the chic and comfortable shoes, like the stilettos you can see in illustration of this post.

#MOROCCO – MAJORELLE GARDEN

Here we go, let me show you a few pictures of my trip to Morocco, of course I was going to share all of this with you.

It was my first trip to Marrakesh, and it’s the 3rd city I visited in Morocco. I was really transported by Marrakesh and it was a nice change of scene, I stayed there for 5 days. This city did me a world of good, I fell in love with it.

For this first part, let me take you to the Majorelle Garden, an unmissable place if you ever visit Marrakesh, a haven of peace, a green oasis of beauty that took my breath away.

The garden was created by Jacques Majorelle in 1924, it wouldn’t be until later, in 1980, that Yves Saint Laurent would buy it to make this place durable. Today it belongs to the Pierre Bergé Foundation and it’s still open to the public.

CUIVRE

I’m back from my vacation (yeepee), let’s begin the week with a shiny outfit.

There’s a big copper trend in decoration right now, but also in accessorizing, like with jewels or shoes.

When I saw this skirt, I immediately fell for it.

I matched it with a little short peach sweater to completely soften the metallic look of the skirt. This association allows me to wear this skirt during the day.

Finally, for a more seasonal look, I chose to wear it with my black trench coat.

The whole outfit comes from Dorothy Perkins and, in partnership with the brand, let me offer you an exclusive discount code for my readers only : 25% off and free delivery with the code LBDBBXDP25

Use it here before October 26.

Enjoy your shopping !

MADE BY SARENZA WITH LOVE

The shoes addict that I am couldn’t possibly miss the launch of the Sarenza collection. We all already know the shoes’ website Sarenza, the treasure chest, and their crazy selection. How many hours have I spent on this shop… anyway !

Backed by their experience in shoes, the people at Sarenza have designed and produced their own label ! They’ve imagined the perfect selection, the shoes we all dream to have, and the result is great.

5 emblematic parisian neighborhoods inspired them for this first season. Boyish, glamorous, high heels or flat… Sarenza thought of every girl.

I’ve bought 2 designs so far, but some others are eying me up already.

Even the boxes are beautiful, for once I want to keep them and not hide them, I might even use them to organize stuff.

So, what do you think ?

Hey, ho, don’t leave just yet, how would you like to try and win a 100€ gift certificate to spend on Sarenza.com ?

It’s easy to participate, just leave the name (just the name, not the link) of your favorite pair from the new Made by Sarenza With Love collection (here) in a commentary down below.

You have until the 10/23/2014 to participate, good luck to all of you !

(contest available in France only)

CITRONNELLE

I’ve slowed down the pace but it’s for a good cause since I’m off to enjoy a few days in the sun starting tomorrow. You can still follow me on my Instagram account here.

Meanwhile, let me share with you an outfit I wore last week-end with my new autumnal stuff. And beware, you’ll get a nice surprise at the end of the post !

Boden, this british brand you’re starting to get familiar with on the blog, alaways creates wonders for the fall/winter season. A little reminder if you don’t know this brand : it offers clothing for men, women and children from size 4 to 20. They always have beautiful fabrics, colors, patterns, and a really superior quality. Sizing wise, it’s perfect, the 20 is a real 20.

Incidentally, I would really like this brand to launch a PlusSize collection because they have the abilities to do it, the savoir faire, and I’m sure it would be a big hit ! Boden, if you’re reading me… (nudge nudge, wink wink)

Before we get to the surprise, let’s talk about my socks. I have the feeling they’re going to divide the ecstatic crowd ! I have a new addiction, socks in stilettos. You either like it or you don’t, and I completely get that.

But for me, it was a true revelation. I spent years envying this style and I finally took the leap, thanks to THE right pair of socks. One often underestimates the importance of the right pair of socks, ha ha don’t laugh, it’s true.

Will you get used to it ? OR better yet, also take the leap ?

To sweeten the socks pill for you resistants, Boden has decided to spoil you since this week on the blog you can try and win 1 Boden outfit !

It’s super easy to participate, just write the names of your favorite pieces in a commentary down below (don’t put the link down because it gets into spams too easily). Make your choice here.

You have until Monday the 20th of October to try your luck (1 outfit or an equivalent gift certificate if the outfit is already sold out). Don’t forget to leave a valid e-mail address that you often check, too many winning e-mails remain unanswered.

Good luck to all of you !
