I never really gave it any thoughts about this lingerie piece, I’m talking about a body!
This cloth has even been one subject in one of my beauty chronic in 100% Mag. This shows how much I’m interested in that subject. So today, I thought I’ll talk about it here on the blog and share my point of view with you since I’ve been wearing it for many weeks now.
When it comes to lingerie I’m rather classical, please forgive me for being so boring but I’m only wearing regular underwear. The bottom can be either shapewear, classical or be a shorty, nothing exceptional until now.
When I saw that some brands like Simone Pérèle or Wacoal were offering a body available in my size I decided I’ll try them out, you know to get an idea on the product and see if this cloth is as good as I can hear.
The brand Simone Pérèle sent me a black body which is part of the Révélation line, a beautiful piece with lace around the breasts. It’s a nice detail as the rest of the body is made in a stretchy fabric.
As for the brand Wacoal they sent me also a underwear-body. I’m sure you’re wondering what that could be? Well it’s a mix between a underwear and a body, basically an underwear with straps.
At first, it seems not very glamorous especially when compared to the beautiful Simone Pérèle body. Still because it’s so light and it has this graphic design I’m tempted to still try it out.

Very easy to put on even if I can feel how stretchy the fabric is. And you definitely feel maintained but in a smooth way. Around the bust the support is the same no difference between a regular bra.
The difficult part is to close that bloody body, the buttons are centered between the thights, please forgive me but when you’re curvy and you want to close this body you must manage the big boobs and the big thighs = huge problem! Thanks god, in the end I manage to close it! Small note for the designer please put the buttons in another place especially for the plus sizes, thank you in advance!
When you’re finally wearing the body you feel a bit like Beyoncé! I felt beautiful, I felt slender!
To summarize: the body is perfect for an evening out but not for a whole day (too annoying if you have to go to the bathroom). And please don’t do what I did, you close your body before putting it on. It will avoid you having your make-up and your hair to be ruined (yes I put on my makeup before getting dress). But I have to say that underneath a dress the effect is just gorgeous. Again I felt gorgeous. In the end I had a very positive experience and I will definitely wear again a body.
The item is not called this way but I thought calling it this way was more adequate.
The underwear-body is a perfect compromise for an everyday use especially compared to a regular body. Easier to wear and to add to your lingerie closet, you can wear any bra you wish!
Very easy to put on, the underwear-body does not make you as slender as if you were wearing a body. Still it does the trick with the little back fat. OK your tummy is not as flat but let’s say it has the same effect as a shapewear. Also positive note it does not fall!
One negative point, however, there’s no buttons but only press studs. I ended up naked under my dress during my first attempt right after getting out a taxi. Basically I had my a** in the open, right in the middle of the street. Loved the cold air on my skin…
The solution? Sew the bottom, in the end the best idea as there’s not really any need to have an opening down there. The underwear-body can be taken off thanks to the straps, especially for the natural needs…
To summarize: the underwear-body is one of the lingerie piece I wear often especially when I have a stretchy outfit. Easier to wear than a regular body, I have to admit it’s my favourite. I’ll keep the regular body for a special event or a night-out.
